Summer School – German Language Summer Course (Dusseldorf)Germany Visit Website
Working with our longstanding exchange partner, Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf, up to 5 opportunities are available for UoR students to participate on a German Language Course during summer 2020.
Courses are available at Elementary, Intermediate or Advanced level (A2 to C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)). Participants should be at least A2 level (and will need to evidence this e.g. email confirmation from IWLP and / or language tutor ). There are no courses for beginners.
UoR can provide up to x4 scholarships up to a total of £500 to cover :
- 2 week course: 20 July – 31 July 2020 (tuition fee cost €275)
- 4 week course: 20 July – 14 August 2020 (tuition fee cost €550)
HHU is offering the possibility for one student a scholarship covering the tuition fee for their language course, plus living €150 (2 weeks) or €300 (4 weeks) (NB: Decision regarding selection of the scholarship recipient made by HHU. If a UoR student is successful in gaining a HHU scholarship, they will not be entitled to receive a UoR scholarship).
|Who can participate?||Undergraduate students from any discipline and in any year of study are welcome to apply. Students must be enrolled at the time of the programme.|
The number of places is competitive and cannot be guaranteed.
Participants should be at least A2 level in German.

Participants will be expected to cover travel, accommodation and subsistence costs.
