Macquarie University, Australia

Macquarie University, located just 30 minutes by train from downtown Sydney, is the perfect destination for students who want the best of both worlds—a cosmopolitan experience in one of the world’s most multicultural cities and the ability to retreat back to a large parklands campus. Sydney, with a population of 5 million people, is famous for its magnificent harbour and opera house.

Set in its own parkland, the university is served regularly by city buses and trains. On its campus of 38,000 students, 12,000 of whom are international, students can take courses in a variety of areas, including science, social science, humanities, business, computer science and environmental studies.

Macquarie offers a diverse and flexible Exchange program with a wide range of courses and subjects. You can choose to mix and match from available units to suit your interests and ambition. You can enrol in the Exchange program for one or two semesters at Macquarie.

Experience a world-class education at one of Australia’s leading universities on your exchange! When you study your exchange program with us, you will be empowered to have a life-changing experience, build employability skills and create friendships that last a lifetime. You can choose from a diverse range of units that spans multiple disciplines and includes practical components. Outside of class, we also connect you with students from around the world through student and sport clubs, and provide you with a comprehensive support system.

Additionally, Macquarie offers extracurricular activities throughout the semester, such as the Global Leadership Certificate program and a dynamic student life with more than 100 student associations.

You will have access to obtain academic, mental/emotional and physical support, with the support of Student Wellbeing!
