An amazing experience and lifetime memories
I was given the opportunity to study abroad in the US at the University of Florida!
This was without a doubt one of the best experiences during my time at university, and the funding I received from the Turing Scheme allowed me to enjoy my time abroad without constantly having to worry about the financial burden of studying in the US as a student.
My favorite times whilst studying abroad were definitely the weekends, where I was able to travel around Florida with the friends I made during my time there. We were able to visit Orlando, Disney World, the Florida Keys! It was an amazing experience and I have made so many lifetime memories and friends from studying abroad.
As well as having the time of my life, I was able to experience a whole new education system while studying abroad, and changing the way that I had to learn made me want to work harder as I had to adapt to the different way in which they wanted coursework completed. The shorter deadlines were slightly more stressful, but you were kept on your toes constantly at the university due to there being a few small tasks that you had to complete a day.
I am proud that I was able to enjoy my time in Florida whilst also being able to get a 97% overall grade during my time abroad.
I would absolutely recommend this fantastic opportunity to anyone looking to travel while they are studying!
